Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of YourKeep. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using YourKeep, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Account and Access

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.

Senders who upload files via QR code or shared link do not need an account. By uploading, they agree to these terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use YourKeep to:

  • Upload, store, or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or any code designed to harm or compromise systems.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, storage quotas, plan restrictions, or security measures.
  • Use the service to spam, phish, or conduct fraudulent activity.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the service beyond normal usage.
  • Share illegal content through QR codes, Drive, Locker Send links, or any other sharing feature.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

4. Service Features

QR File Sharing

You can receive files from others via a unique QR code or shared link. Files received are subject to your plan's daily limits and auto-deletion periods. You are responsible for the QR codes you generate and distribute.

Drive

Drive provides encrypted cloud storage for your files. Files are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. You can share files and folders with specific users, generate public links, set expiration dates, and revoke access at any time. You are responsible for the content you upload and share.

Locker

Locker is an encrypted password vault. In end-to-end encrypted mode, your data is encrypted in your browser before reaching our servers — we cannot access it. If you lose your master password and have not set up recovery questions, your encrypted data cannot be recovered. This is by design.

AI Assistant

The AI Assistant uses a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) to process your queries. When you search, chat with PDFs, or request summaries, relevant data (file names, document content, conversation history) is sent to the AI provider for processing. AI responses are generated and may not always be accurate — use your own judgement.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Files received through QR sharing are automatically deleted based on your plan:

  • Free — 3 days
  • Starter — 7 days
  • Business — 30 days
  • Pro — 90 days

Drive files and Locker entries are retained until you delete them or close your account. Expired shares and Send links are cleaned up automatically. We are not responsible for data loss due to auto-deletion — it is your responsibility to download or back up files before they expire.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

YourKeep offers a free plan and paid plans (Starter, Business, Pro). Paid plans are billed monthly at the prices displayed on the pricing page. Plan features, limits, and pricing may change with reasonable notice.

Upgrading takes effect immediately. Downgrading or cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing period. If your usage exceeds the limits of your new plan after a downgrade, you may need to delete files to stay within limits.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you upload to YourKeep. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, encrypt, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the service. We do not claim ownership of your files, passwords, or any data you store.

The YourKeep name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the service without permission.

8. Sharing and Recipient Responsibility

When you share files or passwords via Drive shares, public links, or Locker Send links, you are responsible for who you share with and what you share. Once a recipient downloads a file or views a password, we cannot control what they do with that data.

Public links are accessible to anyone with the URL. Use expiration dates, view limits, and password protection to control access to sensitive content.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep YourKeep available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by downtime or service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YourKeep and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention practices.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of YourKeep after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
